RICOH THETA MONOPOD – Development and production
RICOH introduced the first 360° compact camera to the market back in 2014. The 3-legged tripods commonly used at the time were not only too large, but they also obscured part of the shot.
It was time for a lightweight tripod that could be positioned quickly – and AVANTO developed the RICOH THETA MONOPOD, one of the first monopods with patented functions such as stepless locking and an adapter plate for attaching the camera.
AVANTO still designs, develops and produces RICOH THETA MONOPODS worldwide for the RICOH Group.
